Kuva sijoittui Kamera-lehden vuoden 2006 Suurkilpailussa sijalle 4-10. Tuomariston kommentit kuvasta: "Kuvan orava on kauniisti kultaisessa leikkauksessa. Kuvassa on hyvä ja mielenkiintoinen sommittelu, kaunis valaistus ja aito metsän tuntu: puunrungon näkyminen antaa kuvalle realismia. Tupsukorvat korostuvat nätisti. Tätä kuvaa katsoessaan ihminen liikuttuu."
